We are the Family Court Reformers of Nevada County, and we are survivors. We are dedicated to affecting change within our broken family court system. We believe that family law cases have been shuffled through court and mediation inappropriately. We believe that life-altering decisions have been made in the absence of critical information, such as criminal background reports and input from collateral sources. We believe that domestic violence cases have been mishandled. We believe that mediators and judges have used undue influence to pressure parents into making agreements that they didn’t want to make. We believe this must stop.
